Facing Addiction: Raising Awareness and Support Recovery
Hello, my name is Marshall Bahr, and I wear several hats - a military veteran, a physician, a husband, and a father. Like a ripple in water, addiction has touched the lives of many, weaving its tendrils through families across the nation, including my own. I've witnessed firsthand the devastating toll addiction exacts on individuals and their loved ones, and it's time to take a stand.
In my pursuit to make a difference, I have committed to completing in Ironman races to raise awareness and vital funds for the Family Recovery Center. This commendable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization champions community wellness by offering high-quality, cost-effective, and holistic services tailored to address chemical addiction, mental health disorders, and other healthcare needs. Their relentless efforts aim to support individuals and families on their path to recovery.
The Ironman is no small feat. It is a test of resilience, comprising a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile marathon, all back-to-back. By embracing this challenge, I aspire to inspire others to rally with me in supporting this crucial cause and to underscore the significance of addiction recovery.
However, the journey is far from over. I have yet to meet my fundraising goal, and I continue to ardently raise awareness for this cause. The funds raised will directly bolster the Family Recovery Center's crucial services, potentially funding treatment programs, mental health services, and other vital resources.
Beyond the immediate impact, your generous donation also comes with the perk of being a tax-deductible contribution, thanks to the Family Recovery Center's 501(c)(3) status.
I am deeply grateful to all who consider supporting this endeavor. Together, let's contribute to transforming lives and aiding those grappling with addiction on their path to recovery. Let's make a difference, one stride at a time.
